In Strovolos, Cyclist Dies: Body Found by Friends
Cyprus police are investigating the death of a 43-year-old cyclist. The man's body was discovered in a park by his friends.
According to local media reports, the identity of the deceased cyclist has been confirmed as 43-year-old Sotiris Petridis.
The friends found the deceased cyclist on Sunday afternoon while they were cycling in a park in Strovolos. An official police spokesperson stated that the man had suffered head injuries.
The police received information about the man's death around 18:30 the previous day. Initial reports suggest that the cyclist was riding with friends in the park when he disappeared from view at some point. Upon returning to search for him, his friends found him lying on a steep slope with a head injury. Police and emergency services responded to the scene, and medical personnel pronounced the victim dead.
The exact cause of the cyclist's death will be determined after a post-mortem examination. The investigation into this tragic incident is ongoing.
