Three Fires in Limassol Destroyed an Abandoned Building, Café, and Motorcycle
Three fires occurred in Limassol on Wednesday, damaging the ground floor of an abandoned building, a motorcycle, and a café.
According to the fire department, one of the fires broke out after midnight. Four fire trucks arrived at the scene.
The fire caused significant damage to the abandoned building. The walls and several pieces of discarded furniture stored in the warehouse were burnt. Timely intervention by firefighters prevented the fire from spreading to nearby structures, and it was extinguished.
Around 3:30 a.m., rescuers were called to extinguish a motorcycle fire on Stasicratous Street. The arriving fire truck extinguished the blaze, which appeared to have been caused by arson.
Another fire broke out at 4:14 a.m. in a café on Makarios Avenue. Firefighters were called in to extinguish the fire, which took about half an hour to control.
