In the Central Prison of Cyprus, a prisoner was killed during a fight
Yesterday, at the Central Prison in Rum, Cyprus, an Arab-origin prisoner was beaten and died during a fight, reports the newspaper Fileleftheros. According to the publication, three Greek Cypriots who were in the same cell were involved in the conflict.
The injured prisoner was taken to the hospital, where his death was confirmed. The publication notes that the incident was recorded by surveillance cameras.
The Nicosia police have launched an investigation into the murder, the report states.
