Car Erupts in Flames While Driving Through Central Strovolos
A car burst into flames while in motion in the heart of old Strovolos, with the driver narrowly escaping the blaze.
According to emergency services, the fire was reported at 7:33 a.m. on Friday. A fire crew was quickly dispatched to the scene.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames, but the vehicle suffered significant damage. As reported by Philenews, residents nearby said they heard a loud explosion shortly before the fire started.
The exact cause of the incident is still under investigation.
