Vandals damaged and stole part of the Christmas decorations in the city center
The Municipality of Larnaca reported a series of acts of vandalism targeting the city’s Christmas decorations. According to the city administration, unknown individuals damaged the installed festive snowman figure and also caused harm to the Christmas tree at Europe Square.
In addition, thefts and damage to lighting elements were recorded: lights on the fountain and decorations placed in various points of the festive setup.
In its statement, the municipality expressed “deep regret and outrage” over the events and urged residents to show respect for public spaces so that “everyone could enjoy the festive atmosphere.”
Citizens were also encouraged to report to the Larnaca police any information that could help identify the perpetrators and hold them accountable.
