The Municipality of Paphos announced the purchase of one thousand trash bins. The bins, with a total cost of 170,000 euros, are intended to adorn the city and enhance its image.

"Investments in infrastructure of this kind contribute not only to the improvement of the environment but also to the enhancement of hygiene and cleanliness in public areas," municipal authorities stated.

The message also indicated that the presence of hygienic and clean public spaces is important for both the health and well-being of the city's residents and for the city's image and its tourism sector.

According to Paphos Mayor Fedonas Fedonos, the purchase of trash bins is another important step towards proper waste management in the city.

The mayor also added that a special study will be conducted to ensure that the trash bins are not visible to the public, but at the same time, they will serve the purpose for which they were installed.

"The Municipality aims to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in places where people live, work, and relax," said the city authorities in a statement.
