High pressure, rain after lunch, and frost in the mountains: weather forecast for Cyprus on February 22nd
According to the Department of Meteorology of the Republic of Cyprus, on Thursday, February 22nd, weak high pressure begins to affect the region.
Today, in the first half of the day, the weather will be predominantly clear, with some increase in cloudiness in the northern coastal areas, which does not rule out isolated showers. Gradually, clouds will thicken, and after noon, isolated showers are expected, mainly in the mountains, inland, and eastern regions.
According to the meteorological forecast, during the day, the air temperature will reach up to 19°C in the inland areas and on the coast, and up to 10°C in the mountains.
By evening, the weather will soon become predominantly clear, although there will be periodic increases in cloudiness, mainly in the northwest and on the northern coast.
The air temperature will drop to about 7°C in the inland areas, to 9°C along the coast, and to 2°C in the mountainous regions, where local frosts are expected.
Until Saturday, the air temperature will gradually rise, and on Sunday, it will increase slightly more and fluctuate significantly above the average climatic values.
