Cyprus Firefighters Respond to 24 Fires in the Last 24 Hours
The Fire Service of the Republic of Cyprus responded to 24 fires in the past 24 hours. Among them were an explosion and fire in Limassol that damaged three vehicles and a roof, as well as fires in apartment buildings and a hybrid car battery.

According to a statement from Fire Service representative Andreas Kettis on X, Paphos firefighters responded to a fire early yesterday morning in a small building made of polyurethane and metal sheets. The structure had been used as a guard post at a waste processing station in the Tremetousa industrial area. The fire caused significant damage, though fortunately, no one was injured.
In addition, Nicosia firefighters were called to extinguish a fire at a car workshop in Omorphita, caused by a hybrid car battery. One fire engine responded to the scene.
In Larnaca, around 7:00 PM, three fire engines responded to a report of a fire involving furniture on the fourth floor of an apartment building on Makarios Avenue. The fire was quickly extinguished using a fire extinguisher, but the lift and paintwork were damaged.
As a reminder, the previous evening, an explosion occurred in Limassol when arsonists targeted three vehicles and threw a Molotov cocktail at a fourth car.
