35 Illegal Migrants Detained Across Cyprus Over the Weekend
Over the weekend, 35 illegal migrants were detained in various parts of Cyprus. Authorities have confirmed that the individuals will soon be repatriated to their countries of origin.
A coordinated operation by multiple government agencies was carried out early on Sunday morning. During the raid, the Immigration and Aliens Affairs Unit apprehended 35 third-country nationals residing illegally in the Republic of Cyprus.
The Ministry of Interior reported that the total number of individuals deported or repatriated from Cyprus since the start of the year has reached 9,448.
For comparison, during the same period last year, 9,290 illegal migrants were deported or repatriated.
