Little Scholars
Description
Little Scholars was founded in 2006 and is based on founder Stephanie Jefferson's belief that learning is most effective when done through play. In fact, working with the Virginia Preschool Initiatives Programme, she helped develop the Learning Experiences through Active Play (LEAP) pilot project focused on developmentally appropriate preschool activities.
When Stephanie took a break from school to pursue parenting, a friend approached Stephanie about assessing her son's readiness for kindergarten. Word spread about the fine motor skills class she had created in her home, and soon Stephanie launched Little Scholars to bring her unique learning approach to life through a commitment to integrity, an innovative spirit, valued relationships and a passion for learning. and education.
Today, Little Scholars works with children from preschool to grade 12 in schools across the United States, providing after school development programmes, summer camps and tutoring.
