Paphos General Hospital
Description
Paphos General Hospital is part of the State Health Services Organization’s network of hospitals, along with 7 others that cover the island’s population. The hospital provides primary and secondary medical care for the Paphos district and broader region and is staffed by 72 physicians, 264 nursing officers, 51 health professionals and has 127 beds and 3 operating rooms. The Hospital operates an Accident and Emergency Department but also provides specialised medical services through its various departments such as the Diving Medicine department and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Unit. The Hospital will soon operate a new state-of-the-art Dialysis Unit, for meeting the needs of haemodialysis patients.
