Traditional Christmas Market in Agros Village
Every year in the second half of December, the traditional Christmas market opens in Agros village.
Traditional Cypriot Village of Agros
Located in the Troodos mountain range, in the Pitsilia region of the Lemesos (Limassol) district, Agros village is situated at an altitude of 1,100 meters above sea level.
The layout of this picturesque village resembles a theater surrounded by mountains. Agros is set in stunning surroundings with panoramic forest views, making it an ideal location for agrotourism. The village has preserved its traditional character and customs and grows a wide variety of fruits and vegetables.
The village is famous for rose cultivation as well as the production of cured meats (sausages, “Lountza” and “Hiromeri”), homemade marmalade, and sweets. Visitors can observe these traditional activities in local workshops, where rose oil distillation, sweet making, and meat processing take place.
Agros Christmas Village Operating Hours
The Christmas market operates from November 23, 2024, to December 22 on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays.
From December 23, 2024, to January 6, 2025, the Christmas market is open daily.
