Where the Christmas villages are located
From November 22, 2025, to January 6, 2026, the Christmas Villages program, organized by the Ministry of Tourism, will operate again in Cyprus. This season, the festive spirit will embrace eight atmospheric villages:
Compared to last year, the list has expanded: new villages have joined the program, and now the Christmas map covers almost all of Troodos and the eastern part of the island.
Atmosphere and traditions
From November 22, mountain settlements transform into real festive mini-towns, where traditions, music, crafts, and gastronomy combine into a unique atmosphere.
Wooden huts with local products are installed on the cobblestone streets: honey, sweets, wine, commandaria, Lefkara lace, rose water, and handmade souvenirs.

The program includes:
- craft and culinary workshops
- children's activities and meetings with Ayios Vasilis
- concerts, performances, and choir shows
- gastro-tours and tastings
- hiking tours along Troodos trails
The aromas of cinnamon, vanilla, roasted chestnuts, and Cypriot coffee literally fill the air.
What to try at the Christmas fairs

It’s impossible to resist the traditional treats:
- Kourabiedes — crumbly cookies coated in powdered sugar
- Melomakarona — honey cookies with nuts
- Mulled wine and local commandaria
- homemade jams, halva, pastelia
- Rose water from Agros, honey sweets from Fikardou
- dried meat lountza
Each village has its own unique aroma and gastronomic traditions.
Rock Christmas Village in Kakopetria
New for the 2025–2026 season — a fair in the picturesque village of Kakopetria.
From November 22 to January 6, the local streets will shine with garlands, and stone houses will become part of the festive decoration. Guests can enjoy:
- open-air concerts
- workshops for children and adults
- crafts and sweets fair
- evening music, mulled wine, and cozy fireplace corners
Kakopetria combines traditions with a modern style, creating the cozy atmosphere of a winter holiday in the mountains.
Christmas Events in Cities
Cyprus is gradually immersing in the Christmas spirit: lights, aromatic treats, music, and festive areas are appearing in the cities. Below are three highlights of the season: in Limassol, Larnaca, and Peristerona.
Limassol Christmas Land
"Fairy Tale City" (Greek: "Paramitoupoli"), or Limassol Christmas Land, returns once again to Limassol Old Port, illuminating it with thousands of lights. Here, you can find:
- rides and a Ferris wheel;
- carousels and slides;
- games of chance;
- Christmas food courts and sweets for the whole family.
The festive park opens on November 19, 2025 and will operate until January 15, 2026. Main event areas are the Old Port Square and Syntagma Square (Platia Syntagmatos).
Opening hours:
- Monday–Friday — 16:00 to 23:00
- Saturday and Sunday — 12:00 to 23:00
This year, the traditional program will include festive shows and concerts, as well as a special event Limassol Christmas Show – The Magic of Christmas, which will take place on December 13–14 and 20–21, 2025 at Aphrodite Amathusia Public Parking.
Note: New light installations, photo zones, themed decorations, and street musicians will appear along the Limassol waterfront. Scents of vanilla, cinnamon, roasted nuts, and mulled wine will fill the air — a perfect atmosphere for a winter seaside walk.
