The cost of a taxi from the westernmost point of Northern Cyprus to the airport can be surprisingly high, even though Google Maps shows less than 100 kilometers and under two hours. And while such expenses may be justified for a company, it makes sense to use the bus when traveling alone.
The Kibhas company operates the route between Lefke and Ercan Airport. The journey takes about two hours, and the cost of a one-way ticket for an adult is 395 liras (as of early 2025).
Bus Stops from Lefke to Ercan Airport
The bus from Lefke to Ercan Airport and the bus from Güzelyurt follow the same route. This can be seen when purchasing a ticket on the website and in the photo above with the stations indicated on the bus.
The website indicates the departure times for intermediate points, and the bus departs from this exact location 15 minutes before the stated time.
The bus then travels through Lefke Polis Merkezi, Portakal durağı towards Güzelyurt, but not via the new highway, rather along a single-lane road through Çengiz Topel Hospital, Yeşilyurt, Gaziveren, and Adýnköy. However, for the driver to stop at these locations, you need to buy your ticket in advance and remind them by calling +905338707849 before the trip.

There is also a stop near Gönyeli, a suburb of Nicosia (at the IrMar supermarket), after exiting the highway. But if you want to leave from here, it's easier to do so from the center of Nicosia, where there are many more options, and the ticket is 100 liras cheaper.
