We all know what the Turkish market is. It's funny to watch agitated sellers who like to bargain in an oriental way. The central pedestrian streets are full of shops where you can find unordinary goods. In Northern Cyprus, there is a super-industry for counterfeiting branded clothes, bags, watches, and other attributes of a respectable person. Almost every stall sells Gucci, LV, D&G, and Chanel. Watches, glasses, bags, shoes, clothes – any copy is sold here for $20-30. But replicas are not prestigious to wear, usually of poor quality, especially compared to the originals. And many European countries now impose a fine for copies, so entering France or Italy with a fake is risky.
You can find brand-name items in Northern Cyprus, though there are not many such places, but, fortunately, they exist.
In Famagusta, this is the Citymall shopping center. The store has both Turkish branded goods and boutiques of world brands such as New Balance, Adidas, and Nike.
In Lefkosia, branded goods are sold on two streets – Dereboyu and Belediye blv. These are Calvin Klein, The North Face, New Balance in Basman, Nike, Adidas, Lacoste, Tommy Hilfiger, Vans, Sarar, Timberland, Napapijri, and Sport Soul stores.
