August 1st: TRNC Continues to Experience Heat up to 41°C
According to the TRNC Meteorology Department, on Thursday, August 1st, the region remains under low pressure with hot, humid air. Meteorologists predict clear, slightly cloudy weather with no precipitation.
The air temperature will rise by 2-4°C above the seasonal average. The hottest weather today is expected in Nicosia and Ercan, with temperatures reaching up to 40-41°C, while the northern coast will see temperatures between 33-38°C.
The wind will be southwesterly and moderate in strength. No storms are expected today.
In Northern Cyprus, two weather warnings remain in effect. The risk of natural wildfires is very high.
The level of ultraviolet radiation is also very high.
It is advised not to stay in the sun for more than 10 minutes, especially between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM, without taking necessary precautions.

- Eastern Coast: Famagusta – 36°C, Iskele – 38°C
- Karpas Peninsula: Yenierenköy – 36°C
