Ercan Airport sets record: over 5.2 million passengers in 11 months

Ercan Airport continues to show strong growth in passenger traffic. From January to November 2025, a total of 5,295,093 passengers passed through the airport, including arrivals and departures. This is 20% more than the same period last year.
According to the airport operator, the number of flights in the first 11 months of the year also increased — by 23% compared to last year.
The growth in figures is considered an important milestone for the aviation sector and tourism. Ercan Airport continues to strengthen its role as a key air gateway connecting Northern Cyprus to the outside world, primarily via Turkey.
The published figures highlight the growing interest in the region and the dynamic development of transportation infrastructure.
