Sharks 3-3.5 meters long are increasingly spotted off the coast of Turkey

Large unknown sharks are increasingly being seen near Turkey’s tourist coast. Predators measuring 3-3.5 meters scare vacationers as they often approach boats cruising on the sea.
Experts say the likely cause is warming in the Eastern Mediterranean. Sharks may have entered through the Suez Canal.
"In principle, there have always been sharks in the Mediterranean, but these are usually small sharks from the catshark family, the spiny dogfish family, and much more rarely other types," experts note.
To understand the exact reason for the appearance of large sharks near resort areas, they need to be caught, the species identified, and regular monitoring conducted.
