In his homeland, the boxer competed in the light heavyweight (80 kg), super middleweight (75 kg), and middleweight (70 kg) divisions. Continuing his training in mixed martial arts (MMA), Alperen Birinci intends to compete in matches of this category and wave the TRNC flag at international tournaments in the future.
