TRNC 2025 Budget Approved and Sent to Parliament for Review
The Committee on Economy, Finance, Budget, and Planning of the Republic’s Assembly has completed work on the 2025 budget for the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). After the Ministry of Finance's budget was approved, the full 2025 national budget for Northern Cyprus was passed by a majority vote and submitted to the General Assembly of the Republican Assembly for consideration.

During the final session of the parliamentary committee held yesterday, the Ministry of Finance's budget was approved by majority vote, totaling 68.97 billion Turkish lira, reflecting an increase of 500,000 Turkish lira.
Subsequently, the committee reviewed the TRNC’s overall 2025 treasury. After 10 days of deliberations and the concluding session, the national budget was approved at 136.94 billion Turkish lira, which is 661 million Turkish lira more than the initial projections.
The draft law for the Central Government Administration Budget for the 2025 fiscal year will be debated in the Assembly starting December 9, with discussions expected to conclude by December 20. The law will come into effect following its approval in the General Assembly.
