CityMall in Famagusta to nearly double in size: area to increase to 55,000 m²

The only shopping centre in Famagusta, CityMall, is preparing for a major expansion. After the project is completed, the total enclosed area of the complex is expected to grow from 35,000 to 55,000 m² through the construction of a new covered block of approximately 20,000 m².
The new space is planned to accommodate shops and food & beverage outlets, as well as additional parking facilities — both open and covered. According to the concept, this will improve visitor convenience and make the site more attractive to major brands.
CityMall management notes that the project is aimed not only at increasing footfall, but also at supporting the economy of the eastern region: an increase in jobs and development of surrounding infrastructure is expected.
Completion of construction works is scheduled for 2027, after which the upgraded complex will continue operations on a new scale.
