CTP: Eastern Mediterranean University is a shared national asset

The CTP party stated that Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) is one of the key public and educational institutions of Northern Cyprus, and that its preservation is a shared responsibility of the state, society, and political forces.
The statement emphasizes that EMU plays a strategic role not only in education but also in the economy, international image, and social life of the country. The university is described as a “shared value” that should not be viewed through the lens of short-term interests or political disagreements.
CTP called on the authorities to ensure sustainable management of the university, financial stability, and the protection of its academic autonomy. According to the party, any decisions affecting EMU should be made transparently and with consideration of the long-term consequences for students, academic staff, and the country as a whole.
