The TRNC Delegation Arrives in Australia
A delegation from the TRNC, led by the country's president, Ersin Tatar, has arrived in Australia. At Melbourne Airport, the guests were greeted with flags and banners.
In a statement to the press upon arrival on the continent, the head of Northern Cyprus shared the joy of their visit and meeting with Turkish Cypriots living there.
It's worth noting that Ersin Tatar became the first president of the TRNC to visit Australia. The delegation's visit to Australia is part of the festivities and events commemorating the 80th anniversary of Turkish Cypriots resettling in Australia to preserve their cultural traditions.
Upon the TRNC president's arrival at the airport, he was welcomed by the Consul General of the Republic of Turkey, Dogan Ishik. The Honorary Representative of the TRNC in Melbourne, Hasan Sayar, and the presidents of Turkish Cypriot associations residing on the continent.
The TRNC delegation's itinerary includes traveling to Sydney after Melbourne and returning to the island in eight days, also through Melbourne.
