Nine Injured in Accident on Geçitkale-Tatlısu Road
Nine people were injured in an accident on the Geçitkale-Tatlısu road in Northern Cyprus, including two children.
According to the police press office, the accident occurred on August 19 around 4:00 PM. A 54-year-old driver was heading towards Tatlısu when he attempted to overtake vehicles in a dangerous zone just before a right turn. During this maneuver, he collided with an oncoming car.
The collision resulted in injuries to the drivers and passengers of both vehicles, including two young girls, aged 11 and 12.
All the injured were transported to Famagusta State Hospital, where doctors diagnosed them with fractures in various parts of their bodies, including the ribs, shoulder, and elbow.
After receiving medical treatment, all the injured were discharged from the hospital. The investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.
