The documentary "Girne Belgeseli," dedicated to the history, people, and memories of Girne, has been made available for online viewing on YouTube.

The film was directed by Derya Atamer and produced by Ali Atamer. Dubbing was provided by Turkish voice actress Zeynep Özden Ayyıldız, and the music was composed by Cyprus-based composer Rauf Kasimov, who created the track "Girne Zeybeği" specifically for the film.

The film was produced with the support of the Girne Municipality and is the result of two years of work. The documentary was first screened for audiences on September 28 at the Girne Fest in the city's amphitheater.

The project features 85 interviews, with filming taking place in 75 different locations and drone footage captured from 27 points. In total, 334 residents of Girne participated in the film.

The oldest participant was Ümran Şensönmez (born in 1929), while the youngest was Beyaz Beyaz, born on February 23, 2023.

The creators note that the film serves as a visual archive of Girne's memory, bringing together the stories of different generations.
