EMU to Host the 7th World Turkic Tourism Congress
The Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) is set to host the 7th World Turkic Tourism Congress as part of International Tourism Days, taking place from May 21 to 25, 2025.
The event will be held at EMU’s Faculty of Tourism with the support of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). EMU Rector Hasan Kılıç and Professor from Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University will co-chair the congress.
The official opening ceremony will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at the Mustafa Afşin Ersoy Hall.
The congress will be conducted in both in-person and online formats and aims to strengthen academic collaboration in the field of tourism across the Turkic world, while encouraging the exchange of research and knowledge.
Following the opening ceremony, participants will present their latest research in various fields of tourism during a series of panel discussions.
Scholars and researchers from Türkiye, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Hungary, and the TRNC are expected to attend. Industry experts will share their insights and experiences, helping to shape the future of the tourism sector.
Certificates of participation will be presented during a gala evening on Friday, May 23, 2025, at the Arkın Palm Beach Hotel. The evening will also feature live music and traditional folk performances.
