Erhan Arıklı issued a message on the occasion of the Republic Day of Turkey

In Northern Cyprus, Erhan Arıklı, leader of the Rebirth Party and Minister of Public Works and Transport, issued a congratulatory statement on October 28, 2025, marking October 29 — Republic Day of Turkey.

In his message, Arıklı emphasized the importance of the principle “sovereignty unconditionally belongs to the nation” and stated that the foundation of Turkey serves not only as a legacy of the past but also as a guide for the future.

He highlighted the brotherly ties between the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and Turkey and expressed his commitment to continue working “for the honor, security, and prosperity of every member of the nation.”

Arıklı also recalled the steps taken in the fields of infrastructure, transport, and communications, noting that the efforts continue to build a future in which young people can look with hope.

In conclusion, he paid tribute to the founder of Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, as well as to all martyrs and veterans, and extended his greetings with the words: “Happy Republic Day, October 29! Long live the Republic, long live the Turkish nation!”
