"Nicosia Photo Marathon" Set for September 7-8

The third Nicosia Photo Marathon will be held on September 7-8 this year in collaboration with the LTB and Yıltan Taşçı Academy.

According to a statement from the municipality, the competition aims to document and promote Nicosia, advance the art of photography, and highlight the city's cultural values, historical and tourist sites, urban structure, and everyday life.

Applications for the photo contest will be accepted from September 2 to 6 at the LTB Public Relations Department. The registration fee is 300 TL.

The competition will start at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, September 7, and end at midnight on Sunday, September 8. Participants must take between 3 and 5 photographs during this time and submit them to the Public Relations Department during business hours on September 11.

Photos submitted in the “Free Color” category will be evaluated by a jury consisting of Mustafa Evirgen, Emel Samioğlu, and Ceyhan Özyıldız on September 12.

The awards ceremony and the opening of the exhibition, featuring the winning photos and other notable works, will take place on Thursday, October 3, at 7:00 p.m. in the Nicosia Central Exhibition Hall.

This year, the first-place winner will receive 10,000 Turkish lira, the second-place prize is 7,000 Turkish lira, and the third-place prize is 5,000 Turkish lira.
