Schoolchildren in Girne buried letters with wishes together with trees
Students of Mustafa Çağatay Primary School took part in an environmental action in the Girne district.
The event took place in a memorial forest, where children together with teachers planted olive trees. During the planting, they were told about the importance of caring for nature and preserving the environment.
A special part of the action was that the schoolchildren wrote down their wishes and dreams, then buried these notes along with the saplings.
Relatives in whose honor the forest was created also took part in the event. At the end of the program, treats were organized for the children.
The organizers noted that such initiatives help to form a love for nature and ecological thinking in children.
