The Head of the TRNC realtors association stated a problem with illegal real estate agents
The President of the Association of Realtors of the TRNC, Hassan Sungur, believes that the country has a serious problem with illegal real estate agents. The trade union leader stated the need for legal regulation.
According to Hassan Sungur, the bill that the Association submitted to parliament on this issue “has been changed and does not serve its purpose.”
In his written statement, the head of the association said that the organization he heads will begin the fight against illegal realtors and will work to pass a law that “would correspond to the conditions of the era and would protect all parties.”
Let us remind you that it was previously reported that private realtors in Northern Cyprus soon risk being outlawed. According to local media reports, the law on the Association of Realtors may be adopted in the near future. The document has already been adopted by the relevant committee and sent for ratification to the Assembly of the Republic.
The proposed legislation aims to address the problem of illegal real estate transactions in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), where properties were bought and sold without paying taxes to the state.
The Realtors Association Act is expected to curb the practice of illegal real estate transactions, especially by foreign agents operating without paying sales taxes.
