Turkish Interior Minister to Inaugurate Migration Management Center in the TRNC
Turkish Minister of the Interior Ali Yerlikaya is visiting the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) today on a working trip, where he will officially inaugurate a new Migration Management Center.
According to the TRNC Ministry of the Interior, Yerlikaya is expected to arrive at around 11:00 AM. At 1:15 PM, he will meet with TRNC Interior Minister Dursun Oğuz.
Later, at 1:00 PM, the Turkish Interior Minister will take part in the official opening ceremony of the Migration Management Center. As part of the event, vehicles will also be handed over to support the center’s operations.
Earlier this year, during a visit to Turkey, TRNC Prime Minister Ünal Üstel held a key meeting with Minister Yerlikaya. The two officials agreed to accelerate efforts to combat illegal migration and strengthen cooperation in areas such as security and the establishment of migration centers.
