The Consumer Price Index rose by 1.42 percent in June compared to the previous month
The Statistical Institute reported that the Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 1.42% in June 2025 compared to the previous month.
The six-month increase in the cost of living was 17.79%, and the annual increase of the index was 35.78% compared to June 2024.
Trends by main expenditure groups
The highest monthly increase was recorded in the category "Restaurants and Hotels" — 8.14%.
Changes in other categories:
- Clothing and Footwear — increase of 5.18%;
- Furniture, household appliances and maintenance services — 3.36%;
- Miscellaneous goods and services — 2.83%;
- Transport — 2.37%;
- Education — 1.62%;
- Health — 1.24%;
- Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels — 1.20%;
- Alcoholic beverages and tobacco — 0.50%;
- Communication — increase of 0.16%;
- Food and non-alcoholic beverages — decrease of 3.04%;
- Recreation and culture — decrease of 0.32%.
Product prices: increase and decrease
Compared to May:
- prices of 451 items increased,
- prices of 88 items decreased.
Highest price increases
- Lemon — +86.39%;
- Lettuce — +50.27%;
- Kiwi — +34.26%.
Largest price drops
- Watermelons — −74.04%;
- Melons — −69.42%;
- Tomatoes — −63.31%.
