Results of road traffic checks over the past 24 hours

Police of Northern Cyprus carried out large-scale traffic raids across the country.
According to the Polis Genel Müdürlüğü, 1,885 drivers were checked during the day.
Results of the checks:
- 300 drivers were fined
- 23 vehicles were taken off the road
- 1 driver was arrested
Most common violations:
- speeding — 152 cases
- drunk driving — 10
- driving without insurance or a license
- failure to wear a seat belt
- driving defective or uninspected vehicles
Police emphasize that checks will continue to improve road safety
