July in Northern Cyprus begins with 40-degree heat
According to the TRNC Department of Meteorology, on Monday, July 1, the region continues to be affected by low pressure and hot, humid air. Meteorologists predict very hot, clear, and slightly cloudy weather without any precipitation.
Today's air temperature will rise 2-4°C above normal, with maximum temperatures reaching 40-41°C. The hottest weather is expected in Güzelyurt, Nicosia, and Ercan.
A moderate southwest wind is expected, with no storms predicted for today.
Northern Cyprus is currently under two meteorological warnings. The risk of natural fires remains very high, and the level of ultraviolet radiation is also high.
It is advised not to stay in the sun for more than 15 minutes, especially between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM, without taking necessary precautions.
