From Famagusta to Nicosia: charity bike ride in support of cancer patients
The organizations Green Pedal and Tanyel’s Smile announced a charity bike ride on Sunday, September 7, 2025. The event will start in Gazimagusa (Famagusta) at the Cortado café, with the finish at the oncology department of Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital in Nicosia. The route is designed so that participants can start at a convenient point along the way.
The ride is scheduled to begin in the morning (exact start time not specified), but it is expected that the trip at an average speed of approximately 27 km/h will take around five hours. This gives participants a general idea of the timeframe — the likely finish is planned for the first half of the day.
Those wishing to support the initiative can purchase a jersey or T-shirt for 500 Turkish lira, or simply make a monetary donation — all funds will go to the oncology department.
To participate, it is necessary to fill out the registration form available at: https://forms.gle/oGvP3gwTxkULJCC76
