Two people rescued from a burning spa center in Kyrenia
A major fire broke out in a beauty salon and spa center in Kyrenia. Firefighters rescued two people from the burning building.
According to the police press service, the fire broke out yesterday afternoon at the Beauty and Spa Center located on the third floor of a multi-story building on Edgevit Street in Kyrenia.
Preliminary information suggests that the fire started due to overheating of the sauna stove and ignition of wooden materials.
Firefighters who arrived at the scene managed to extinguish the fire. As a result of the fire, the sauna in the beauty salon was damaged, as well as kitchen cabinets, various towels and bathrobes, electrical equipment, three internal air conditioner units, suspended ceiling, and some materials.
In addition, two beauty salon employees who were trapped inside the building due to smoke during the fire were rescued thanks to the intervention of firefighters.
The investigation into the case is ongoing.
