Five Thousand Aid Packages Arrive in Northern Cyprus for Ramadan
The Cyprus Foundations Administration has announced the arrival of five thousand food packages sent by the General Directorate of Foundations under Turkey’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism to support families in need during the holy month of Ramadan.
According to a statement from the Turkish Embassy in Nicosia, the food parcels, received by the Cyprus Foundations Administration, will be distributed to those in need as part of island-wide initiatives throughout Ramadan.
“Our aim is to support as many families as possible, especially during Ramadan—a time when social solidarity and charitable giving are most deeply felt,” the Cyprus Foundations Administration stated.
This year, Ramadan begins on March 1. Laylat al-Qadr (The Night of Power) will be observed on March 26, and Eid al-Fitr (Ramazan Bayramı) will be celebrated on March 30.
