Animal lovers in Northern Cyprus are rallying at the parliament today
An animal rights demonstration is taking place in Northern Cyprus today. The "World Not Only Ours" movement will gather at the parliament to demand improvements to the Animal Protection Law.
According to the organizers, the animal rights statement will be made in front of the parliament on Tuesday, June 4th, at 11:00.
The main objective of the rally is to advocate for enhancements to the Animal Protection Law. All animal lovers are invited to participate in the picket.
"We invite all animal lovers to join our press statement in front of the parliament on Tuesday, June 4th, at 11:00. We reaffirm our demand for improvements to the Animal Protection Law so that our friends have the right to life, not torture, and are recognized in the Criminal Code as 'living beings,' not 'property,'" the animal rights statement said.
