Mahmut Yusuf Tekinay Becomes Turkish Vice-Champion in 200m
Young TRNC Athletics Federation athlete Mahmut Yusuf Tekinay won a silver medal at the Turkish U14 Championships.
The Özcan Kutlu U14 Turkish Indoor Athletics Championships were held in Bursa. In the 200m final, Tekinay clocked a time of 25.73 seconds to take second place, becoming the Turkish vice-champion.
The medal was presented to the athlete by TRNC Athletics Federation President Ferhat Sakallı during the award ceremony. The athlete's coach, Mehmet Baykent, was also present to share in his protégé's success.
The young athlete's achievement has become a source of pride for the Northern Cyprus sports community.
