Meteorological Department: Rain and Thunderstorms Expected in Northern Cyprus Tomorrow
The Meteorological Department reports that local heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected in Northern Cyprus tomorrow. The adverse weather is associated with a low-pressure system and a cold, moist air mass in the upper layers of the atmosphere.
According to the short-term forecast for the period from January 24 to 30, starting from Sunday the weather will be partly cloudy. Over the next 24 hours, winds will mainly blow from the north and east at moderate strength, with locally strong winds; storm-force gusts are possible in some areas tomorrow.
The maximum air temperature is expected to be mostly around 15–18 degrees Celsius and will be similar both inland and along the coast. The data are provided in the report of the Meteorological Department.
For residents, this means a likelihood of short-term intense precipitation and gusty winds over the next 24 hours, and from Sunday onward relatively stable partly cloudy conditions with moderate temperatures. The information is based on the official forecast of the Meteorological Department.
