The Minister of Agriculture inspected the damage caused to greenhouses due to strong winds
Hussein Chavush, the Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources, visited the site to assess the damage inflicted on numerous greenhouses by strong wind gusts that affected the Marash and Tatlısu regions. In his press statement, the head of the Ministry of Agriculture reported that necessary procedures have been initiated to determine the damage caused by the hurricane.
Highlighting that the greenhouses in the Tatlısu area were significantly damaged, the minister noted that all farmers affected by the rampage of the elements should contact the Ministry of Agriculture to receive compensation.
During the minister's inspection, representatives from the Department of Agriculture in Famagusta and the General Fund of Agricultural Insurance of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus accompanied him.
It is worth recalling that, according to local media reports, on Sunday, November 26, the island experienced hurricane-force winds with gusts reaching 25 m/s.
