Iskele Municipality Intensifies Inspections of Bakeries and Pastry Shops During Ramadan

Iskele Municipality continues its inspections aimed at protecting public health during Ramadan. Bakeries and pastry shops, which see an increase in the production of bread and flour products this month, have been placed under special control.

Staff from the Environmental and Sanitary Control Department are checking overall hygiene at the enterprises, the cleanliness of production facilities, the sanitary condition of equipment, and storage conditions for raw materials and finished products. Special attention is paid to temperature control, expiration dates, and correct labeling.

Compliance with hygiene rules by personnel is also monitored, including the use of gloves, head coverings, and protective clothing, as well as the possession of medical health certificates. Pest control measures, ventilation conditions, and waste disposal are also being inspected.

The municipality emphasized that inspections will continue throughout the month of Ramadan, and legal measures will be taken against enterprises if violations are identified.
