The Lefke Municipality has gained access to a new source of drinking water
As a result of geological exploration and drilling works carried out in the Çamlıköy mountains, the Lefke Municipality has gained access to a source of drinking water. The project was implemented by the Department of Geology and Mining.
Minister Fikri Ataoğlu expressed his gratitude to the team involved in the project, noting the high level of professionalism and dedication of the specialists. He emphasized the importance of rational water consumption, reminding that underground water reserves are limited and that protecting water resources is everyone’s responsibility — especially in light of climate change and the threat of drought. The Minister also stated that the government will continue to support efforts to protect and use natural resources sustainably across the country.
