Lefkoşa Municipality begins sewage works in Haspolat
The Lefkoşa Municipality (Lefkoşa Türk Belediyesi) is starting the construction of a sewage network in the Haspolat area. The works will begin on September 17 on Elma Street.
As part of the project, 1,250 meters of pipeline will be laid, and 170 houses are planned to be connected to the system. The works will cover Elma Street, sections of Zafer Street, sections of Barış Street, and Hurma Street.
The current phase of the works is expected to be completed within three months. According to the municipality, these measures are the first steps toward eliminating the significant shortage of sewage infrastructure in the Haspolat area.
The implementation of the project is also expected to create the basis for subsequently connecting other streets to the system, which are currently not included in the network. The municipality plans to start the works from the indicated point and gradually extend the network in the designated sections.
