A man arrested for stealing a Cristiano Ronaldo jersey in TRNC
In Northern Cyprus, a 34-year-old man has been arrested for stealing a football jersey with Cristiano Ronaldo's name on it. The thief, who took a shirt with the number '7' on the back, has already appeared in court.
According to media reports, the theft occurred last Tuesday in northern Nicosia. The man entered a store, put on the shirt with the famous footballer's name and a bracelet, and then left the store wearing them without paying for the shirt and accessory.
During the court hearing, a police officer stated that the retail value of the shirt is 290 Turkish lira (approximately 8.80 euros).
The man has been ordered to remain behind bars for no more than one month after the trial.
