Auction for Special Car Plate Numbers Starts on July 29

A special auction for standard but specially designated car plate numbers will be held at the Vehicle Registration, Inspection and Licensing Department of the Directorate of Road Transport. The official announcement includes a schedule of designated time slots for open bidding.

The auction is scheduled for July 29, 2025. The first listed number is AA007C at 09:00. It will be followed by AA010C at 09:10, AA013C at 09:20, AA018C at 09:30, AA034C at 09:40, AA400C at 09:50, AA900C at 10:00, and finally AA999C at 10:10. Each bidding process will take less than one minute per lot.

The auction is organized so that participants can reserve their time slots in advance. Registration is done at the Department’s office, where it's clarified that the plates are assigned within the standard registration process. The scheduled times ensure an orderly process and minimize application overlaps.

To participate, bidders must meet several requirements: valid vehicle registration, valid insurance policy, and a completed technical inspection. All procedural details, including payment and participation terms, are available on the official portal of the Road Transport Department.
