A vehicle with license plate MB 057, driven by Bekir B., caught fire while traveling on the Dipkarpaz–İskele highway.
According to police, the fire was caused by a diesel fuel leak from the engine system—the fuel dripped onto the hot exhaust system, triggering the fire.
The driver managed to extinguish the flames himself using a fire extinguisher, allowing the fire to be quickly brought under control.
As a result of the incident, the car's hood, engine cover, and electrical wiring were damaged.
