157 Olive Trees Planted in Cyprus to Celebrate March 9 Holiday
In honor of the March 9 holiday — a symbol of spring and renewal in Cyprus — employees of the Sivil Savunma Teşkilatı Başkanlığı organized an ecological tree-planting event.
As part of the initiative, 157 olive tree saplings were planted at the Sivil Savunma Koruluğu site. The campaign aimed to support nature and create a green legacy for future generations.
The organizers emphasized that the olive tree symbolizes patience, fertility, and longevity, and is also considered a symbol of peace and hope.
The department noted that civil defense personnel, inspired by the resilience of the olive tree, intend to continue contributing to environmental protection and ecological development.
