On May 15th, showers and thunderstorms are expected in Northern Cyprus.

According to the TRNC Meteorology Department, on Wednesday, May 15th, the region is under the influence of low pressure and cool, moist air. Meteorologists forecast variable cloudiness with periodic showers and thunderstorms.

Air temperatures have returned to seasonal climatic norms. In some regions, it will cool down to 24°C, while the maximum air temperature will be around 28°C.

The wind is southwesterly, of moderate strength, with gusts up to strong. However, storms are not expected today.

Two meteorological warnings are in effect in Northern Cyprus. There is a possibility of forest fires, and the level of ultraviolet radiation remains low in the country.

Northern Coast: Kyrenia - 25°C, Lapta - 23°C, Akdeniz - 26°C, Alevkaya - 24°C, Esentepe - 24°C.

Western Coast: Lefke - 25°C, Güzelyurt - 28°C.

Central Part: Nicosia - 28°C, Ercan - 29°C.

Eastern Coast: Famagusta - 25°C, Iskele - 27°C.

Karpas: Yenierenköy - 26°C.
