Head of Lower Dikmen Elected in Northern Cyprus
In the TRNC, interim elections for local government bodies took place last Sunday. Kaan Guchav was elected as the head of Lower Dikmen.
Residents of Northern Cyprus voted for village chiefs and members of the council of elders, including in the Güzelyurt district and for the head of Lower Dikmen in Dikmen.
According to the announcement by the Supreme Electoral Commission, Kaan Guchav emerged victorious in the Lower Dikmen district. A total of 1087 out of 2063 registered voters participated in the voting. The voter turnout was 52.69%.
Out of 1070 valid ballots, Kaan Guchav secured 333 votes. His closest competitor, Tahir Sanjak, received 260 votes, while Levent Efendi received 236 votes.
